What you’ll do:
We're seeking a Payroll & Benefits Manager to oversee accurate, compliant, and timely payroll services across Ground Control in the UK and Ireland, supporting approximately 1,000 employees.
You will lead a team of three Payroll Administrators, manage payroll processes, drive system integrations (Bob HR, Bob Payroll, Sage, D365 Finance), and deliver key payroll projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Operations & Compliance
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for the UK and Ireland, ensuring compliance with legislation and internal policies.
- Handle financial reconciliation, statutory returns, and year-end processes.
- Ensure correct application of tax laws, pay regulations, and company agreements.
Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Manage and develop a team of payroll administrators.
- Provide coaching and support to promote service excellence and ongoing learning.
Systems & Reporting
- Maintain and improve payroll system integrations with Bob HR and D365 Finance.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency.
- Generate payroll reports for Finance and HR.
Benefits & Pensions Administration
- Oversee employee benefits changes, ensuring accurate deductions and charges.
- Collaborate with HR on benefits strategy, reviewing schemes for value.
- Manage various pension schemes, including auto-enrolment and group pensions.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience managing UK payroll.
- Hands-on experience with payroll systems—preferably Bob Payroll (Pento) and Sage.
- Strong knowledge of payroll compliance, pensions, and statutory reporting.
- Ability to analyze data, create reports, and support financial reconciliation.
- Proven leadership skills in managing payroll teams.
- Knowledge of Irish payroll management is a plus.
