What you’ll do:

We're seeking a Payroll & Benefits Manager to oversee accurate, compliant, and timely payroll services across Ground Control in the UK and Ireland, supporting approximately 1,000 employees.

You will lead a team of three Payroll Administrators, manage payroll processes, drive system integrations (Bob HR, Bob Payroll, Sage, D365 Finance), and deliver key payroll projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Operations & Compliance

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for the UK and Ireland, ensuring compliance with legislation and internal policies.
  • Handle financial reconciliation, statutory returns, and year-end processes.
  • Ensure correct application of tax laws, pay regulations, and company agreements.

Team Leadership & Capability Building

  • Manage and develop a team of payroll administrators.
  • Provide coaching and support to promote service excellence and ongoing learning.

Systems & Reporting

  • Maintain and improve payroll system integrations with Bob HR and D365 Finance.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency.
  • Generate payroll reports for Finance and HR.

Benefits & Pensions Administration

  • Oversee employee benefits changes, ensuring accurate deductions and charges.
  • Collaborate with HR on benefits strategy, reviewing schemes for value.
  • Manage various pension schemes, including auto-enrolment and group pensions.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience managing UK payroll.
  • Hands-on experience with payroll systems—preferably Bob Payroll (Pento) and Sage.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll compliance, pensions, and statutory reporting.
  • Ability to analyze data, create reports, and support financial reconciliation.
  • Proven leadership skills in managing payroll teams.
  • Knowledge of Irish payroll management is a plus.
