Team Leader – Highways & Vegetation Maintenance

Location:

Based in Billericay, Essex (jobs up to 1.5 hours away)

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum

Shifts:

Monday - Friday (night shifts: 6:30pm – 4:30am, occasional day shifts: 8:00am – 4:30pm). 80-85% of the work is on night shifts – so flexibility is essential! Most nights are job and knock, meaning early finishes once the work is done, and Fridays often finish earlier too.

You must hold a full UK Driving Licence & SSSTS to be considered for this position.

We're looking for a Vegetation Maintenance Team Leader to join a specialist team maintaining Highways, A-roads, and Motorways across Essex and surrounding areas.

We need switched-on, keen, and motivated individuals who take pride in their work. You'll need to be reliable, flexible, and willing to get stuck in. Previous experience leading teams with a grounds maintenance setting or similar.

• Lead teams to meet daily targets
• Ride-on mowing & robotic mowing
• Hedge cutting & brush cutting
• General grounds maintenance & vegetation clearance

• CSCS Card
• ROLO Card (BALI H&S)
• Highways England Passport
• Safety Critical Medical
• Relevant tickets – Brush cutter, Chainsaw, Ride-on Mower, or similar

• Stable, full-time position with competitive pay
• End-of-year overtime review – if you work over 2,500 hours, you'll get paid extra!
• No work on bank holidays or the Friday before a bank holiday
• Most Friday nights finish early
