Overview
We are looking for a CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator to join our Engineering Workshop in Essex. The role involves setting, programming and operating CNC machining centres to produce small batch precision components in line with engineering specifications.

Key Responsibilities

* Set, program and operate CNC machining centres

* Machine small batch precision components from a variety of metals and plastics

* Work with HAAS and Heidenhain controls

* Produce components using existing programs, tooling and fixtures

* Program new components from scratch using online programming

* Carry out first-off checks and in-process inspection to ensure quality standards

* Select appropriate tooling for machining operations

* Work with the inspection team to ensure components meet required specifications

* Maintain a safe working environment and follow workshop health and safety procedures

Requirements

* Engineering apprenticeship or relevant mechanical/engineering background

* Experience setting and operating CNC machines

* Experience with HAAS or Heidenhain controls

* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

* Strong attention to detail and ability to produce precision components

Desirable

* Offline programming experience

* Exposure to CAD/CAM software

* Familiarity with Autodesk Inventor or Fusion 360
