SEND​/Behaviour Assistant - Primary School

Leader Education are delighted to be recruiting a Primary Special Needs Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist primary school in Billingham
. This is a rewarding long-term opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young children with additional needs and helping them flourish in a nurturing, supportive environment.

The school supports children aged 4–11 years with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and/or Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). • Full-time, long-term position following a successful trial
• Working hours:
  
  Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm
• Supporting pupils to access the curriculum and engage in meaningful classroom activities
• Providing consistent, compassionate support tailored to individual learning needs

• Have experience supporting children with SEND in an educational setting
• Be caring, patient and committed to honesty, inclusivity and respect
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of safeguarding and child wellbeing
• Be able to support pupils both academically and emotionally
• Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
