'Pupils behave well. Staff and pupils get on well' – Ofsted, February 2023
Are you passionate about supporting pupils? Are you skilled at empowering young people to excel both academically and personally?
We wish to appoint a highly motivated and inspirational behaviour support mentor to work closely with our young people who require additional guidance and support with behaviour and emotional regulation to reach their full potential.
As a behaviour mentor, you will play a crucial role in supporting pupils, providing guidance, encouragement, and practical support to help them reach their full potential. You’ll work directly with pupils facing social, emotional, or mental health (SEMH) difficulties, providing 1:1 or small‑group interventions to help mentees develop emotional regulation, build coping strategies, and engage positively with their environment.
An ability to be proactive, work independently, and use initiative is key to this post.
Northfield School is a large 11-16 community school and specialist sports college. We are an ambitious and inclusive school with state‑of‑the‑art facilities and interactive technology in a well‑resourced newly refurbished main building, a newly built separate Year 7 school, and extensive sports facilities shared with the community. Following an inspection in February 2023, Ofsted judged the school to be good in all areas.
Wecan offer you:
- an enthusiastic, talented and supportive team
- a newly built and superbly resourced teaching and learning environment
- excellent opportunities for CPD
- a staff health and well‑being programme
- a warm, friendly and positive working environment where everyone is valued
The school is committed to safer recruitment practice and pre‑employment checks will be undertaken before any appointment is confirmed. The post is subject to enhanced disbarring bureau service disclosure.
