Specialist Teaching Assistant

Billingham

£14.24 per hour.

The Role and School
This school, based in Billingham has a great and impactful opportunity for a Specialist Teaching Assistant for children and young people with different SEND needs.

Working in this wonderful school as part of an established team, the desired Specialist Teaching Assistant will involve working one to one and in small groups within and outside of the classroom, delivering targeted support.

The right candidate will enjoy working with a team to support with the planning and implementation of support and intervention programmes, work with the external agencies and support the SENDCO with daily co-ordination and support of specific students with SEND.

Requirements
The requirements for the Specialist Teaching Assistant position are:

  • Successful experience of working with children or adults in a support role.
  • At least a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Drive or be willing to use public transport.
  • Understanding the needs of students with learning difficulties.
  • Right to work in the UK
