Actemium Automation Teesside - Senior Control Systems Engineer

Join our Team as a Senior Control Systems Engineer.

Location: Billingham or Worksop

Hours: 37.5 hrs per week – Office based

Salary range: From £55,000 (dependent on experience)

• Participate in the full life cycle of delivering projects, from start to finish.
• Foster great relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
• Produce design and test documentation.
• Develop PLC, DCS, HMI and SCADA software, including platforms such as Siemens PCS 7 and Rockwell PlantPAx.
• Perform testing with customers, carrying out on-site commissioning.
• Compile training manuals and run customer training sessions.

• Strong understanding and experience with major brands of PLC, DCS and SCADA/HMI platforms, including Siemens PCS 7 and PlantPAx, with an appetite to learn new technologies.
• Experience writing software and working with customers to deliver projects.
• Good understanding of setting up, commissioning, and fault finding of industrial networks (Profibus, Profi Net, Ethernet) preferred, but not essential.
• Experience working in an engineering environment.
• Appetite to be the lead engineer on projects and to learn new technologies when required.
