Community Integrated Care is one of the UK’s largest health and social care charities. We transform lives by delivering high-quality, person-centred support that fosters independence and empowerment. Our charity was founded in 1988 and we were one of the pioneers of the ‘Care in the Community’ agenda, enabling people to move out of long-stay institutions and live more fulfilling lives. Since then, we’ve remained leaders in social care, providing bespoke support to thousands across the UK.
Today, we support more than 2,600 people and employ 6,600 caring and committed colleagues across England and Scotland. We have a proud history of breaking boundaries and are always looking for new ways to make a positive difference through bold ideas, innovative projects and impactful partnerships.
Ian and Andrew both live within 144 and have lived together for many years within their home. Ian and Andrew both attend day services during the week and days when either are off- both will have 1-1 staffing to access the community- or do activities of their choice. One staff member at all times , and we will have one staff member doing a sleeping night
-to support us if we need any support during the night.
Staff will support us to attend our Day Services- support with 1-1 support either within the community or within in our home. Will help us both to be more independent within our home- and out in the community.
Our staff team support will us on the support at home framework. I Iike our staff team to treat us with dignity and respect- and too respect our home.
We know it takes a special person to work in social care and we recognise that not everyone that would be perfect for the role, will have professional experience. This is why we’re really passionate about recruiting to individuals’ values and we recruit people from all walks of life
;
From people with vast experience in a support worker or care assistant role, from people with lived experiences who may have friends or relatives with disabilities or have looked after older relatives, to people with no experience at all.
