We are currently recruiting for a Hydrostatic Pressure Test Operator to join a busy manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with precision, has a strong focus on quality, and is committed to maintaining high safety standards.

The Role

As a Hydrostatic Pressure Test Operator, you will be responsible for pressure testing pipe assemblies to ensure they meet strict quality and safety standards. This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work independently while following established procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Load assemblies into the hydrostatic test bay using overhead cranes.
  • Select, fit, and securely fasten the correct test bungs ("top hats") to pipework.
  • Fill pipework with water and carry out hydrostatic pressure testing.
  • Monitor pressure levels throughout the testing process.
  • Record test results, data, and pressure graphs accurately.
  • Identify, mark, and report any defects to the inspection team.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
  • Follow all health, safety, and quality procedures at all times.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience within a manufacturing, engineering, or production environment.
  • Experience using overhead cranes is highly desirable.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
  • Good numeracy skills with the ability to accurately record test data.
  • Ability to maintain concentration during repetitive tasks while producing consistently high-quality work.
  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of your workload.
  • Strong awareness of health and safety procedures.
  • Ability to remain calm and react appropriately in the event of any safety concerns.
