Accounts Payable and Billing Specialist

$28.00/hr - $30.00/hr

A regional construction company based in Billings is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable & Billing Specialist to join their accounting team. This is a long-standing business that has built a great culture over the years. In this role, you’d report directly to the Controller and help across all areas of accounts payable, invoicing, and office administration.

This individual will work directly with clients, both internally and externally, and represent the company. The organization is focused on building an employee-first culture, with plenty of room to grow internally.

• Handle day-to-day accounts payable, including invoice entry and monitoring AP inboxes
• Process daily customer and vendor billing, including emailing invoices
• Review and research vendor statements to ensure accuracy
• Assist with weekly check runs
• Provide general accounting support, including phones and ad hoc projects
• Assist with office administration tasks when needed
• Work collaboratively with the accounting team to support month-to-month operations

• 3–5 years of experience in an accounts payable or similar accounting role
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Comfortable juggling deadlines and handling multiple priorities
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Customer-service mindset and a team-oriented attitude
• Self-motivated and able to work independently when needed
• Full-time, regular status, hourly position
• Onsite role based in Billings, MT
• Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm
• $28–$30/hour, depending on experience
