Who we’re looking for

Are you a meticulous, detail-oriented professional with a passion for precision and a deep understanding of commercial construction? We need an experienced Commercial Construction Estimator to join our growing team, working on projects ranging from $10 million to $100 million in Billings, MT.

Base pay range
: $/yr – $/yr

• Analyze drawings, specifications, and addenda to define a clear and detailed scope of work.
• Perform accurate quantity take‑offs and develop thorough cost estimates, project budgets, and construction schedules.
• Communicate and build strong relationships with subcontractors and vendors to obtain competitive pricing and ensure accurate proposals.
• Attend preconstruction meetings to gather project information and build connections with architects, engineers, and clients.
• Collaborate with project teams to prepare and submit comprehensive, competitive bid proposals.
• Suggest value‑engineering strategies when appropriate.
• Develop and maintain a database of unit costs, historical pricing, and vendor contacts.

• 10+ years of experience as an estimator for a commercial general contractor on public projects (REQUIRED).
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Highly self‑motivated, organized, and able to meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates at various stages of development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Field experience in commercial construction.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Building Science, or related field.
• Experience with Bluebeam, Procore, and other estimating software.
