Studio Assistant

Billings, MT 59101 | Part-Time 6 - 10 hrs per week | $12 - $14 per hour, depending on experience

Jessica Brophy Art is looking for a studio assistant that will be handpicked for their trainability, character, and passion. This person will be working independently as well as alongside owner and artist, Jessica.

This role requires an individual with fine art experience who can assist with fundamental painting and drawing tasks while ensuring the studio remains organized, efficient, and well-maintained.

• Art projects: photograph art, edit photos, prime canvases, clean art supplies, trace layouts onto canvases, and help with setup/takedown at art events
• Office upkeep: care for office plants, do some minor cleaning, and keep office tidy

• 2+ years of experience/education in the arts or in office administration
• Photoshop and computer skills
• Motivated with the ability to work independently
• Ability to anticipate needs before they occur

• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test

This art studio was created by Jessica Brophy in 2014 during her college education. She has worked for many years to invent and refine the process of making fully customizable fine art. Jessica works one on one with her clients to create a painting or drawing around their style and what they love. She believes that the client’s story and personality is what makes each art piece special.

The most common commission orders we get are pet portraits, people portraits, landscapes, and logo designs.
