Protection and Studies EIT/Designer (187269)

Responsibilities

• Conduct analyses to develop electrical design options, performing modeling and calculations.
• Assist with preparing cost estimates or specifications.
• Perform routine engineering and design tasks and participate in field reviews or construction observation.
• Work under the direct supervision of a Project Engineer, APM, or PM.
• May independently work on small tasks and assist senior engineers on larger, more complex projects.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 2 years of experience in electrical power system analysis, system planning, protective device application, settings, and substation design.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Micro Station.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate. Candidates without an EIT will be placed into an SPS Designer position and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.
• Some travel may be required.
• Desire to pursue growth opportunities and obtain registration.
