Our Power Team is seeking an ambitious and organized team member to assist the engineering team. The selected candidate must have an endless focus on efficiency, quality, and exceptional client service. The candidate should be able to work independently while willingly supporting others to accomplish common goals. Flexibility, prioritization of multiple tasks, collaboration with various engineering team members, quick learning, deadline meeting, stress handling, and attention to detail are essential.

This position involves following an exact process repeatedly with a high degree of quality and effectively communicating process issues with the team. The role assists the engineering team by checking in, checking out, cataloging/filing, scaling and transmitting engineering-related drawings and information to the HDR Engineering team and HDR clients.

Responsibilities
  • Creating and maintaining paper and electronic files relating to project work
  • Applies company quality assurance guidelines and procedures for project document management.
  • Familiarity and understanding of construction drawings and documents
  • Familiarity with Projectwise
  • Understands CAD drawing attributes
  • Assists with developing project guides and provides information and support for project reviews
  • Type, format and organize project documents, reports, specifications and correspondence
  • Assist in updating projects estimate to complete and percent complete
  • Excellent verbal and written communication including grammar, punctuation, proofreading, spelling and telephone skills
  • Flexibility and ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and various team members in a fast‑paced environment
  • Self‑motivated, well‑organized and detail‑oriented
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Exhibit professionalism with clients
  • Works well in a team environment and communicates well with many different team members
  • Work with multiple project teams as needed
  • Tracking and reporting on project deliverables
  • Ability to respond to a changing and evolving process as well as learn new tasks
  • Excellent organization skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee‑owned culture is a must
  • Perform other duties as necessary
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree/ Bachelor's degree
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Required Qualifications
  • Associate degree in a closely related field or combination of education and relevant experience
  • A minimum of 1 year related experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee‑owned culture is a must
