Early Career Substation Civil/Structural Engineer – Billings, Montana

• Involved in all aspects of civil design for substations, including permitting, site work, structural and foundation design, and support of substation physical design and equipment layout.
• Responsible for ethical decision‑making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct; adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
• Involved in all aspects of transmission line design for new lines, relocations, upgrades, and fiber optic additions.

• BSCE (Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering) degree from an accredited university.
• Strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills to work effectively with internal team members and external client personnel.
• Legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship.
• Occasional travel may be required depending on project‑specific requirements.
• Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety, and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
• 0–1 year of experience.

• Minimum 2.75 Grade Point Average (GPA).
• Ideal coursework includes structural analysis, concrete design, steel design, soil mechanics, foundation design, and surveying.
• Structural analysis design software experience is a plus.
• Previous engineering design or drafting work experience, especially if related to civil and/or structural engineering, is desirable.
• Engineer In Training (EIT) registration is desired.
