Job Summary

The Team Supervisor plays a critical leadership role by directly overseeing daily operations of an assigned primary‑care team, managing patient flow, ensuring high‑quality care, efficient staff performance, and patient satisfaction. The supervisor provides guidance, training, performance feedback, and support to maintain a collaborative, patient‑focused environment.

Essential Functions / Major Duties and Responsibilities
  • Pod Coordinator (55 %) – Oversee day‑to‑day operations, maintain efficient workflow, provide backup for medical assistants, troubleshoot efficiency or satisfaction issues.
  • Act as liaison among providers, supervised staff, and other team members to facilitate communication and cross‑clinic collaboration.
  • Encourage open communication, conflict resolution, onboarding, and training for new staff and students.
  • Ensure program compliance, accreditation standards, policies, and procedures are met.
  • Oversee accurate documentation, data input, and medical record system utilization.
  • Report progress and potential issues to immediate supervisor.
  • Maintain clinical quality standards, quality‑improvement processes, safety culture, and stay patient‑satisfaction focused.
  • Work with the pod as a supervising coordinator to achieve these goals.
Pod Supervisor (45 %)
  • Recruit, hire, orient, evaluate, counsel, coach, and retain program staff.
  • Conduct regular check‑ins, performance evaluations, and coaching sessions.
  • Coordinate schedules, breaks, and coverage to ensure adequate staffing.
  • Directly supervise medical assistants.
  • Foster a positive, respectful, team‑oriented culture.
  • Collaborate with River Stone staff and participate in meetings to develop plans for program expansion and quality improvement.
Non‑Essential Functions / Other Duties (≥ 5 %)
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of River Stone’s mission and goals.
Education and Experience

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years clinical experience in an outpatient primary‑care setting.
  • Leadership experience.
  • Any combination of experience and training that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with underserved populations.
  • Experience in a customer‑service environment.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
  • MA certification.
  • BLS and CPR certification.

  • Computer literacy (Excel, Outlook, Word, electronic medical records).
  • Understanding of HIPAA and confidentiality.
