Activities Assistant

Yellowstone River Nursing and Rehab is hiring for an Activities Assistant! Our facilities deliver outstanding care as well as foster strong employee bonds. The Activities Assistant assists the Director of Activities with planning, organizing, developing, and directing quality activities for patients. The assistant ensures that the recreational, physical, intellectual, spiritual, and social needs of each patient are met in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. The assistant also supports patients in their choice of activities—both facility‑sponsored group and individual activities, as well as independent activities—designed to meet the interests of and support the physical, mental, and psychosocial well‑being of each patient, encouraging both independence and interaction in the community.

Plan, organize, and direct a program of activities that provides opportunity for entertainment, exercise, relaxation, and expression. The program fulfills basic psychological, social, and spiritual needs and is available to all residents of the facility.

• Sufficient knowledge and experience in long‑term care.
• Minimum 1 year experience as an Activities Assistant.
• Successful completion of a training and competency evaluation program required.
• Completion of orientation required by company policy.
• Health screening and TB test (if required) within two weeks of employment.
• Mandatory drug test within 90 days of hire.
• Must be free of criminal activity proven by a criminal background check.
• Show within three (3) days of hire satisfactory evidence of identity and eligibility for employment.
• High school Diploma or equivalent.
