American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer with 1+ years of experience and ARDMS registration to perform diagnostic ultrasound exams.

Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in the specialty being applied for
  • BLS certification required (AHA, must not expire prior to start)
  • RDMS (BR) certification from ARDMS required
  • Registered with ARDMS with successful completion of at least one registry beyond physics (OB, abdominal, neuro, breast, pediatric, or vascular)
  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • License required if applicable
  • Must have active license with no pending status allowed
  • Ability to lift, bend, carry equipment, stand for extended periods, and assist with patient transport/ambulation
  • Manual dexterity for operating delicate equipment with precision
  • Strong visual, verbal, and computer documentation skills
  • DOB and last 4 of SSN required for consideration
Responsibilities
  • Hospital-based ultrasound department setting
  • Variable 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week, 40 hours weekly
  • Uses Epic for charting
  • Performs vascular procedures and diagnostic imaging across multiple modalities
  • Perform ultrasound exams under physician direction to identify abnormalities for diagnosis
  • Verify patient identification and orders, prepare patients, and review images for quality and accuracy
  • Instruct students and other techs on exam protocols, procedures, positioning, and equipment use
  • Provide patient education and ensure comfort throughout exams
  • Follow infection control and sterile technique protocols
  • Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, patient information, and adverse reactions
  • Follow protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, and QC programs
  • Report equipment failures as needed
  • Work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Returning Intermountain employees must be separated from the facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
