Air Controls - Billings, Inc, Montana’s premier HVAC, Plumbing, and Refrigeration Service provider is seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of workplace safety regulations and a proven track record of implementing safety programs and protocols. You will play a key role in ensuring a safe work environment by overseeing the implementation of safety standards, conducting training, and leading safety initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs and policies.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local safety regulations (OSHA, etc.).
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards.
  • Lead safety training programs and provide ongoing safety education to employees.
  • Investigate accidents and near misses, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Work closely with management to promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.
  • Analyze safety data and trends to propose safety improvements.
  • Maintain safety records and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Respond to emergencies and assist with emergency planning and drills.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in safety management, preferably in a construction.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and other safety standards.
  • Certification in safety management (e.g., CSP, CHST) preferred.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
