American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Oncology unit requiring MT or compact RN license and 1 year of specialty experience.

• Works in the Med/Surg Oncology unit of a hospital setting
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• Epic EMR used for charting
• May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
• May be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift

• Active MT or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA), not expiring prior to start
• ACLS, NRP, or PALS certification required as appropriate for unit or service
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• 1 year of experience in Med/Surg Oncology specialty required
• Epic charting experience required
• Date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

• Performs independent nursing functions and delegated medical duties per state Board of Nursing standards
• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for oncology patients
• Provides health teaching, counseling, and therapeutic treatment to patients
• Documents care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Promotes the mission, vision, and values of the health system
• Background check and drug screening required, with results needed at least 2 weeks before start
• Former permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for this travel assignment
