Travel RN - Med​/Surg

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg unit requiring a Montana or compact RN license and at least 1 year of specialty experience.

Requirements

• Active RN license (MT state or compact) required, no pending license accepted
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• BLS certification through American Heart Association required and must not expire prior to start
• ACLS, NRP, or PALS certification as appropriate for unit or service
• At least 1 year of experience in the specialty being applied for
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Med/Surg unit setting in a hospital environment
• 36 hours per week across three 12-hour shifts, scheduled as 1 day shift and 2 night shifts
• Uses Epic EMR for charting
• May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
• May be required to take on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with state Board of Nursing standards
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care, including health teaching and counseling
• Provide supportive and restorative therapy and treatment directly to patients or through delegation, supervision, or teaching of others
• Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before becoming eligible for a travel assignment
