The HVAC Service Technician at Big Horn Heating & Cooling is responsible for the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of heating, ventilation, refrigeration and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. This includes servicing air filters, thermostats, belts, bearings, and blower fans to ensure optimal performance.

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heating, cooling, ventilation, and air quality systems.
• Respond to scheduled and emergency HVAC service calls for residential and light-commercial customers.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning coils, checking refrigerant levels, inspecting electrical components, and calibrating thermostats.
• Daily, two-way communication with dispatch
• Provide customers with clear explanations of issues, repair options, and maintenance recommendations.
• Generate estimates, obtain customer approvals, and complete accurate service documentation.
• Ensure work complies with local codes, safety standards, and company procedures.
• Complete job-related documentation and reports accurately.
• Work both independently and collaboratively with other team members and apprentices.
• Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment in safe working condition.
• Ensure high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction with every service visit.

• Four or more years of experience in HVAC service technician role
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skillset
• EPA 608 Certification (Type II or Universal)
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in tight spaces, and tolerate seasonal weather conditions
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and customer service skills

• ICC Journeyman's Lic
• Electrical Experience
