Ensures safety first, along with safe lifting of the load, proper set-up of crane, while maintaining Customer focus. Follows all State and Federal laws while operating motor vehicles. Follows all safety and environmental policies while performing the job task.

• Review job assignments and prepare all necessary rigging and equipment at the end of each shift.
• Complete and submit Field Ticket to the local branch, including any chargeable equipment used.
• Record daily hours in payroll book; report hours to the branch by 10:00 a.m. every Monday.
• If not on a job, inspect, clean, and maintain equipment; communicate with supervisor and stay productive.
• Respond promptly to phone/pager calls.
• Assist in crane operation training and review manuals periodically.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment, shop, and yard.
• Read, interpret, and calculate load percentages using load charts and manuals.
• Program crane's computer and set up crane on site safely and professionally.
• Ensure signal person understands and performs proper hand signals.
• Perform proper rigging techniques for safe lifting.
• Inspect crane, truck, and trailer; complete vehicle inspection reports before operation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Current crane operating license (NCCCO or NCCER).
• At least 3 years of hydraulic crane operation experience.
• Ability to operate crane using hand signals.
• Valid state-issued Commercial Driver License (CDL).

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Mechanical troubleshooting ability.

• Must have a current CDL.
• Must have a current NCCCO crane license.
• Minimum 3 years crane operating experience.
