Air Controls-Billings, Montana's Premier Refrigeration Contractor, is seeking skilled Journeyman-Level Refrigeration Service Technicians to join our team of experts!

With over 35 years in the industry and a track record of 20% annual growth for the past five years, Air Controls is the provider of choice for most grocery stores, warehouses, commercial buildings, and restaurants across the region.

Our technicians are known for delivering high-quality service, installation, diagnosis, and repair of complex refrigeration systems. They also serve as the primary communication link between our clients and our company — a vital role in maintaining long-term customer trust.

Our team ranges from 1 to 35 years of experience, with an average tenure of 7.5 years — proof of a workplace where skilled technicians thrive and grow.

As a Journeyman-Level Refrigeration technician you will be installing, maintaining, diagnosing and repairing the types of systems listed and their related components.

• Supermarkets, Grocery Stores and small commercial refrigeration, including Walk-Ins and Ice Machines
• Self-contained refrigeration units
• The service area is primarily a 150-mile radius of Billings.

• Commercial HVAC equipment AHU's,RTU's, and MAU's.
• Residential HVAC
• Water source Heat pumps
• Cooling towers and Boilers

• Competitive pay: $32- $45 per hour (based on experience)

• Journeyman-level experience in refrigeration or several years of verifiable apprentice-level experience
• EPA 608 certification
• High school diploma or GED (Required)
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test
• Mechanical aptitude
• A neat/clean appearance
• Strong work ethic & ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Team-oriented mindset& self-motivated
• Willingness to travel when needed
