Job Overview
- Maintain and repair Komatsu underground equipment
- Perform timely and effective repairs of machine components in the field
Key Job Responsibilities
- Inspect equipment for proper performance, identify faults and malfunctions
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair or replace parts and systems according to scope of work
- Test repaired equipment to ensure proper operation
- Commission new equipment
- Provide customer training as needed
- Accurately complete time records, technical reports, failure reports, etc.
- Stay updated with industry, customer, product developments, and technical best practices
- Build strong relationships with internal and external customers to ensure smooth operations and satisfaction
- Work safely, following all safety policies and procedures
- Complete necessary paperwork and access databases to ensure accurate and timely job completion
- Follow contamination control and HAZMAT regulations
- Remove, install, disassemble, and assemble parts and components, testing and adjusting assemblies with minimal supervision
Qualifications/Requirements
- Associate Degree in Diesel Technology or equivalent
- 1-3 years of related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Flexibility to work various schedules, including shift work
- Certified to operate forklift and/or manlift
- May need to complete DOT physical
- Required to complete MSHA certification
- Possibly required to complete respirator certification
