Job purpose
Alpine Air is currently seeking a full-time A&P Mechanic to join the crew at the Billings, Montana airport. Candidates must meet high standards of safety, resource management skills, and customer relations. Strong interpersonal skills and a team player attitude are essential.
Duties and responsibilities
The selected applicant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:
- Preventative maintenance of aircraft
- Line maintenance and repair
- Scheduled inspection of aircraft
- Replacing worn or damaged components, including turbine engine changes
- Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
- Repairing, replacing, and rebuilding aircraft structures, including sheet metal repairs
Qualifications
Qualifications include:
- Must have A & P License
- Preference given to Beechcraft or King Air experience
- Knowledge of basic fixed-wing aircraft maintenance
- Ability to locate and follow maintenance manual and component manual instructions
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word
- Must pass background check and pre-employment drug screen
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
Working conditions
While performing duties, employees are frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic chemicals, and heat. Work is performed outside regardless of weather conditions. Noise levels are usually moderate.
Compensation
This is a full-time position, 35-40 hours per week, with competitive pay based on experience. Physical requirements
Employees must frequently lift or move up to 70 pounds and perform tasks involving bending, twisting, and safe lifting methods. Vision abilities required include close, distance, color, and focus adjustment.
