Senior Software Engineer

We're hiring a Senior Software Engineer for the unglamorous, essential work of making C# fast enough that nobody notices it at all. A Senior Software Engineer seat that takes 7 years of Node.js seriously, pays $88,000 - $129,000, and hands over the technology reins.

• Chase down the Critical Thinking integration that silently drops Macys events at midnight
• Own the Flask release that Billings leadership has circled on the calendar
• Keep Macys's C# dependencies patched before the CVEs become incidents
• Own the performance-driven Jest subsystem that the rest of Macys quietly depends on
• Translate technology compliance rules into Node.js guardrails baked into the build

• Familiarity with the Billings market and local technology landscape
• Experience translating Critical Thinking complexity for a non-technical audience
• 7+ years building trust the slow, unglamorous way
• Judgment seasoned by at least 6 years of real consequences

Macys is an unfussy, fiercely independent Billings company that would rather earn trust slowly than buy attention quickly. The Macys promise is plain: clear expectations, real autonomy, and zero surprise reviews.

The bottom line: $88,000 - $129,000, mentorship, benefits, and flexibility, wrapped into a Senior Software Engineer role that grows as fast as you do.

The team in Billings is interviewing on a rolling basis, so early applicants get noticed first.
