Girls Volleyball Coach - Seasonal

The City of Billings Parks, Recreation and Public Lands Department is seeking a seasonal Girls Volleyball Coach for the 2026 season (February 18 – April 11). The position will run for 6–10 hours per week on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday.

Pay Rate: $14.00 – $16.00 per hour.

As a Girls Volleyball Coach, you will demonstrate, instruct, and develop basic volleyball‑specific skills with participants aged 9‑12 years old. You will direct team practice, coach during games, and act as a gym supervisor and liaison for the Parks and Recreation Department. Responsibilities include overseeing the school facility, coaching, gameplay, officiating, and score‑keeping.

• Serve as a positive role model to players, parents, officials, and fellow coaches by following all rules and demonstrating good sportsmanship.
• Teach volleyball skills using planned practices and games at an appropriate level for each participant.
• Organize players to participate in games while providing a safe and enjoyable environment for all players, giving each child an equal opportunity to participate.

• Must meet minimum age requirements.
• Background knowledge and/or playing experience in volleyball preferred.
• Professional, confident, and capable of dealing with players, parents, officials, and fans.
• Reliable transportation to and from games.
