Bus Driver
United Green Mark is looking for a dedicated Bus Driver to transport children safely to program activities, homes, and field trips. We will train you to obtain the required CDL and endorsements.
Key Responsibilities- Annual Review & Training
- Participate in an annual review and on‑board observation by a State Certified School Bus Instructor.
- Attend classroom and behind‑the‑wheel training covering safe and efficient vehicle operation, fixed routes, loading/unloading children, railroad crossing procedures, first aid, emergency procedures, and operation of special equipment such as wheelchair lifts.
- Driving the Route
- Assist the Bus Aide in ensuring child safety.
- Follow the safest and most efficient route as directed by leadership.
- Maintain the route schedule and inform parents of stop locations and times.
- Ensure children are restrained before starting the engine in the afternoon and released only to authorized individuals.
- Safely load and unload children per the Transportation Manual.
- Vehicle Maintenance
- Monitor and maintain all vehicle fluid levels.
- Keep the interior and exterior clean.
- Other Duties
- Provide support for center‑level Parent Nights or other assigned transportation duties.
- Perform a daily playground health and safety checklist when instructed.
- Hiring Bonus – Fully credentialed candidates receive a $1,000 hiring bonus ($500 on the first paycheck and $500 after 3 months).

- Current in‑state Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a School Bus and Passenger endorsement (or equivalent).
- CPR and First Aid Certification.
- Preferred bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Driving in various weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 55 pounds.
- Work environment with moderate to loud noise levels.
