Job purposeAlpine Air is currently seeking a Ramp Agent to be located at their Billings, MT company site. The Ramp Agent will be responsible for all ground servicing of the aircraft, including loading and unloading of baggage and cargo and fueling the aircraft. Scheduled operations and required hours of availability include Monday (2 pm - 7:30 pm), Tuesday through Friday (1:30 am - approximately 7:30 am), and Saturday (5:30 am - approximately 8:30 am).
Actual schedule will be coordinated with the Ground Crew Supervisor. Work is performed outside, in all weather conditions.
- Observe safety and FAA regulations
- Parking, towing, moving, fueling, and marshalling arriving and departing aircrafts
- De-icing the aircraft and GPU starting the aircraft
- Providing shuttle service for crew and assist with baggage
- Transferring cargo from vehicles to cargo planes
- Practice safe lifting methods
- Preferred candidates will possess private pilot's license
- Able to frequently lift and/or move up to 70 pounds to shoulder height
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Be available for flexible schedule depending on aircraft arrivals and departures and cargo load
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Required to pass pre-employment drug test and background check
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, machinery, fumes, toxic chemicals, and heat. Work for this position is performed outside, regardless of weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
