Mixes and serves alcoholic and non‑alcoholic drinks to guests in high‑volume bars, clubs, and casino operations.
Responsibilities- Takes orders from guests or servers.
- Maintains a 2 minute or less production cycle for a 20‑drink tray or a 2‑minute cycle (2 drinks a minute) for a cash bar.
- Prepares and pours drink orders with proper portions and ingredients according to recipe, communicates with beverage servers, and presents drinks to guests or servers as required.
- Operates a cash register/POS System, ringing proper amount into the register and giving the guest or server the correct change; accounts for all cash, charge and complimentary sales according to established procedure; maintains integrity of all financial controls and responsibilities.
- Provides fast, friendly, and professional service.
- Provides personalized service and uses guest’s name.
- Orders and requisitions liquors and supplies.
- Arranges bottles and glasses to make attractive display.
- Slices and pits fruit for garnishing drinks.
- Replenishes bar snacks such as chips, pretzels and nuts.
- Maintains a clean and stocked workstation in accordance with established health and safety guidelines.
- Operates and maintains all equipment and utensils as required in accordance with established guidelines and safety procedures.
- Adheres to department and property policies and procedures.
- Maintains knowledge of property information, including memorabilia.
- Follows alcohol awareness procedures regarding company’s responsible beverage service.
- Serves as ambassador of goodwill while working and at guest and public relations functions.
- Promotes casino events and programs.
- Monitors guest consumption of alcohol and intervenes as needed according to guidelines.
- Requests customers when legal age is questionable.
- Works well with others, especially beverage servers, bartenders, bar backs, beverage supervisor, and slots supervisor.
- Resolves service problems according to guidelines.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Minimum of two to three years of previous experience as bartender in a comparable establishment or casino outlet.
- Must be able to read, write legibly, understand and speak English.
- Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with all Hard Rockers and guests.
- Must be able to count money and change correctly.
- Knows cocktail ingredients and proper mixing and pouring techniques.
- Available to work required schedule, which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
- Must have basic mathematical skills. Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
- Must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by Company policy.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions.
- Must project a positive image.

- Ability to deal with people in a manner that shows sensitivity, tact, and professionalism.
- Must be able to pass serving alcohol responsible class and be knowledgeable of A.B.C laws. Also be knowledgeable with regulations related to alcohol gaming.
