Overview
A Player Service Representative is responsible for assisting customers in the exchange of U.S. currency for casino chips, credit chips, cash, foreign currency, Golden Nugget documents, negotiable instruments, and ambassadors of company good will. This role also sells gambling chips, tokens, or tickets to casino patrons, pays out jackpots, and manages credit applications.
Responsibilities
- Sale and redemption of casino chips and coins for cash (including foreign chips) and other monetary items
- Issuance and redemption of Markers
- Customer deposits and withdrawals
- Cashing checks utilizing computer terminals
- Establishing new computer accounts and processing document requirements for credit and check cashing in accordance with policies and regulations
- Balancing assigned funds
- Creating and issuing Players Club cards and promoting the program and related promotions
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the player tracking system, promotions, events, entertainment, and general property information
- Ensuring the protection of customers’ rewards and credit lines
Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of cash handling experience
- Ability to operate a computer terminal and communicate clearly and friendly with the public
- Knowledge of 10-key, bank balancing
- Strong decision-making, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
- Minimum age of 21 years
