Massage Therapists perform a variety of massage therapy techniques to reduce stress and promote relaxation. Typical techniques include:
Swedish, deep tissue, reflexology, shiatsu and hot stone.

• Enhances the guest experience by providing exceptional service.
• Greets all guests entering spa.
• Provides safe, appropriate and effective massage techniques.
• Reviews basic medical history of guest prior to each session; assess any problems or conditions and suggest appropriate massage.
• Explains procedures and applies techniques appropriate to guest needs and preferences.
• Observes guest reaction to massage and modifies as necessary; solicits feedback and responds accordingly.
• Educates patrons on service(s) being performed.
• Re‑stocks towels and supplies.
• Reports any guest issues to management.
• Monitors treatment areas for cleanliness.
• Assists in monitoring cleanliness of locker rooms, picking‑up when necessary.
• Adheres to department and property policies and procedures.
• Maintains equipment and uses proper amounts of product to assist with cost controls.
• Keeps service area stocked, cleaned, and sanitized.
• Knows and understands all services and products while educating and training guests in these areas.
• Performs prep work and properly cleans and restocks work area as required.
• Communicates to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa or salon that require attention.
• Maintains a positive attitude and contributes toward a quality work environment.
• Attends, participates in and supports training and staff meetings for the spa.
• Speaks positively when talking with guests and co‑workers.
• Provides tours through the facility disseminating information pertaining to product & services available.
• Performs other functions as necessary or as assigned by management.

• High school diploma or GED.
• State certification as Massage Therapist.
• 1 year experience as a practicing Massage Therapist preferred.
• Must be well versed in a variety of skin massage techniques.
• Must project a professional and positive image.
• Ability to effectively sell spa & salon products and services.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with all Hard Rockers and guests.
