Overview
Massage Therapist - Seasonal - Harrah's Gulf Coast at Caesars Entertainment. This role involves administering massage and body treatments, delivering professional service, and supporting guest needs in a resort spa environment.
Responsibilities- Offer the highest level of personalized service while maintaining a positive, enthusiastic, helpful, and professional attitude with all guests and team members.
- Initiate and engage in conversations in a professional and friendly manner.
- Administer expert massage and body treatments for various purposes and in the specific time frame given.
- Provide consistent professional treatments as directed in training classes and accepted certification practices.
- Care for equipment and products used.
- Communicate and describe in an articulate manner the spa offerings.
- Compare and contrast the different services on the menu.
- Recommend and up-sell services at the spa facility on property.
- Handle guest questions and concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
- Respond to guest requests immediately, accurately, and appropriately.
- Understand the importance of and commit to continuing education.
- Work unsupervised for extended periods of time.
- Uphold all protocols for set-up and cleanliness of treatment rooms.
- Maintain a healthy appearance and positive attitude as a representative of the Spa.
- Maintain a clean, safe, stocked, and well-organized work area, including extensive in-between client cleaning procedures.
- Maintain the spa appearance and cleanliness and the ability to work the entire shift in a mask as directed.
- Be comfortable around guests who may be in a state of undress.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by Manager or Assistant Manager.
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve in a fast-paced environment.
- Regular attendance is essential to the successful performance of the position.
- Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, team members may be required to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays to reflect the needs of the facility.
- Must comply with rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the facility.
- Maintains a friendly, pleasant, and professional demeanor and appearance at all times.
- Two years of massage therapy experience at a resort or high-level country club.
- Proper training and certificates for service provided. (Must be able to produce certifications upon hire.)
- High school diploma.
- Experience administering treatments to male and female guests in a professional manner.
- Understand and follow Bloodborne Pathogen procedures.
- Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language.
- Must be able to stand up to 9 hours per day. Length of time of these tasks may vary.
- Able to lift 15 lbs occasionally.
- Able to work entire shift in a mask.
- Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening, hearing ability, and visual acuity.
- Must be able to operate office equipment such as computers, online booking platforms, printer, and two-way radio.
