• Coordinate daily tasks and adjust plans for weather, supply, delivery, and personnel changes.
• Conduct daily safety meetings with all crew members.
• Explain construction methods and schedules to crew and contractors.
• Delegate individual responsibilities and projects.
• Provide adequate resources and staffing to meet project schedules, laws, regulations, and safety requirements.
• Train crew on safe use of tools, machinery, and equipment, and enforce safety gear usage.
• Resolve conflicts or miscommunications quickly and amicably.
• Report project status to supervisors regularly.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and good housekeeping practices.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and oversee diverse crew roles.
• Skilled at reading and understanding drawings and plans.
• In-depth knowledge of legal requirements and quality building practices.
• Expertise in identifying and solving problems quickly and efficiently.
• Familiarity with DOT specs and requirements (roadway and MOT operations).
• High School Diploma; some college or trade school preferred.
• At least four years of experience in a building trade.
