Tax Associate

Overview

H&R Block seeks a dedicated Tax Associate to support a global network of tax professionals. The role is part of our Block Next initiative, emphasizing client experience and sustainable growth.

• Conduct face‑to‑face and virtual tax interviews via video, phone, chat, and email.
• Prepare complete and accurate federal and state income tax returns.
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
• Provide clients with IRS support and clear communication throughout the return process.
• Support office priorities through teamwork and collaboration.
• Grow your tax expertise through continuous learning and training.

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course.
• Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone, and in writing.
• Must meet all IRS and applicable state requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred.
• Previous customer service or retail experience preferred.
• Experience working in a fast‑paced, supportive environment.
• Ability to work a minimum of 25–35 hours weekly throughout tax season and up to 40 hours during peak weeks.

$16.50/Hr. – $27.00/Hr.
