Location: City of Binghamton
The Program Management Division at LaBella is looking for a dedicated Field Construction Manager.
The Field Construction Manager will conduct direct and indirect inspections of various electric utility construction projects to meet client needs. The FCM will oversee contractor construction activities on behalf of the Owner to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, safety and environmental regulations, and company requirements. They will coordinate onsite work activities with company operations and other projects, manage on‑site work documentation, coordinate material delivery, develop and maintain as‑built documentation, and monitor schedule while preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
The prospective individual will have a willingness to learn and adapt to changing environments throughout the industry.
Salary Range: $70,000-$100,000
The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location.
Responsibilities- Work closely with the Project Manager for day‑to‑day operations
- Assure contractor obligation and adherence to design plans, change orders, RFIs, MOCs, etc.
- Document contractor day‑to‑day activities
- Demonstrate leadership in health, safety and environmental protection on the project. Apply the requirements of the project‑specific safety program to promote overall compliance with health and safety standards, applicable regulations and codes with all employees and subcontractors on the project.
- Keep written/photographic records onsite to adequately document the project to client standards.
- Ensure installation is in accordance with utilities construction standards, O/M manual, federal and state law, and industry best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction‑related field – Preferred
- 4+ years of electric transmission, distribution, or substation experience – Required
- OSHA 10 or 30 – Preferred
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions – Required
- Computer skills:
Word, Excel, Outlook – Required - Working knowledge of the electric utility industry – Required
- Willingness to travel – Required
