Overview

Established, multi-site radiation oncology network based in the Northeast is seeking a board-certified radiation oncologist. Join our well-established medical group as a full-time member overseeing the Radiation Oncology department at Guthrie Lourdes Hospital, Binghamton, NY.

Guthrie Lourdes Hospital has served the city of Binghamton and surrounding communities with compassionate patient care for the last 99 years. It was acquired by Guthrie, a not-for-profit, integrated health care system, in early 2024.

About Guthrie Lourdes Hospital and Department

The Radiation Oncology department is dedicated to providing expert cancer care through cutting-edge radiation treatments. The team includes nurses, radiation therapists, dosimetrists, physicists, social workers and patient navigators. Guthrie Lourdes has a dedicated Medical Oncology group and infusion center embedded in the hospital, proximal to the Radiation Oncology department. There is a robust breast program and a dedicated breast surgeon, with strong urology and multi-specialist groups within the hospital, including two surgical oncologists within the system.

Binghamton is a midsize university town with rich cultural and recreational opportunities, located near the Finger Lakes region and within a few hours’ drive of New York City and Philadelphia.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the Radiation Oncology department at Guthrie Lourdes Hospital, Binghamton, NY as a full-time team member.
  • Collaborate with the hospital’s Medical Oncology group and infusion center, the breast program and surgeon teams, urology and other surgical oncology colleagues.
  • Participate in delivering high-quality, patient-centered radiation oncology care using a full range of the latest technologies.
Qualifications
  • Board-certified radiation oncologist.
  • Experience with a full range of the latest technologies and treatments.
  • Excellent patient and colleague interaction skills.
