Job DescriptionSUNY Broome Community College is seeking qualified applicants for part-time faculty (adjunct) teaching in our Criminal Justice and Emergency Services department.
Applications for Adjunct Instructor positions are accepted on a continuous basis. Candidates are contacted and hired as opportunities arise, depending on the college's needs.
Responsibilities- Teaching under the guidance of the department chairperson.
- Helping students master course content.
- Assessing student learning outcomes.
- Utilizing current learning management system technology (Brightspace) in the performance of job duties.
- Maintaining standards of professional conduct and ethics.
- Fulfilling other duties as outlined in the Faculty contract.
- A Bachelor's degree and significant work experience in a related field is required. A Master's degree in a related field is preferred.
- Applicants should be comfortable in the learner-centered classroom and have a strong commitment to the community college mission.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without a visa sponsorship.
Offers of employment will be conditional upon the results of a satisfactory, required pre-employment Standard Background Check.
