Bersoff Faculty Fellow in Philosophy

Department of Philosophy invites applications for up to four Bersoff Faculty Fellowships, areas of specialization open, to begin September 1, 2027, pending administrative and budgetary approval. This is a one‑year appointment possibly renewable for a second year.

Responsibilities include teaching two undergraduate courses per year; both courses may be taught in the same semester, leaving the other semester free to pursue research. In case of an appointment to a second year, one of the two courses may be a graduate seminar.

For a candidate to be eligible, the Ph.D. must be received between September 1, 2022 and August 31, 2027. Applications should include a CV, a writing sample, a research statement, a teaching statement, evidence of teaching ability, and at least three references.

Applications must be received by November 15th, 2026 to ensure full consideration.

Pay Transparency:
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary for this position is $60,000.
