Highway Design Engineer – Civil/Structural | Shape the Future of Transportation

Responsibilities
- Efficiently manage highway design projects, including drainage, alignments, and related tasks.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive design plans, detailed specifications, technical reports, and accurate cost estimates.
- Ensure designs adhere to state and local standards, regulations and safety codes.
- Promote, utilize and support QA/QC processes to guarantee quality deliverables.
- Collaborate with internal teams, clients, subconsultants and agencies to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Proactively support project managers with schedules, documentation, and presentations.
- Assist with field inspections and data collection for roadway projects.
Qualifications
- B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or a related field;
Master’s preferred. - 5–10 years of transportation experience;
Highway Design Engineering experience preferred. - EIT required.
- Professional Engineering License (PE) preferred or ability to obtain it.
- Proficiency in Micro Station, STAAD, Open Roads and bridge design software preferred.
- Familiarity with state DOT design standards (NYSDOT or PennDOT preferred).

Salary Range $83,000–98,000 (actual compensation may vary based on relevant experience, qualifications/education, and other factors; the range is not guaranteed).
