In this role, you will support the Electric Ops team as a Project Manager II (PMI) in the NY East area, assisting with Distributed Generation Interconnection Projects, managing numerous solar projects in construction, and overseeing a larger suite of projects through 2025‑26. You will play a critical role in managing and tracking project progress, collaborating with construction managers and other division personnel to ensure timely, on‑budget, and successful project delivery.
The day‑to‑day responsibilities include:
- Assist Avangrid Project Managers in managing office administration and field operations for Project Management Integration.
- Provide expertise in data analysis, work management, quality and project safety requirements, and contribute to cost, schedule and procurement activities.
- Perform field work as necessary.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering. 2‑5 years of experience in the energy sector.
- Certified Associate in Project Management or Project Management Professional Certification (requested).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Experience in the functional area under which it will be contracted:
Substations, T&D, Gas‑Hydro and OSG.
