Job Title

Associate Systems Design Engineer at iA

Job Overview

Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to support the development and execution of system design projects. Assist in project planning, coordinate design reviews, and ensure successful implementation from initial concept layout through final design. Focus on facility layout and work closely with program management, mechanical and electrical engineering teams, subcontractors, third‑party vendors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create facility layout designs for pharmacy systems, ensuring alignment with iA’s NEXiA workflow software processes and procedures.
  • Assist in establishing and documenting project requirements and criteria to align with overall system goals.
  • Coordinate and participate in design reviews with internal stakeholders, external partners, and clients.
  • Review data analysis projects to ensure design parameters are appropriate and align with system design parameters.
  • Support the implementation of project elements throughout all phases of design and development using AutoCAD, Revit, and Twinmotion.
  • Contribute to system design documentation and technical reports.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure design feasibility and compliance with project objectives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Facilities Design, Facilities Management, or a related field.
  • 0–2 years of experience in conceptualizing, designing, or supporting the development of integrated systems.
  • Familiarity with ANSI standards.
  • Proficiency in design and visualization software, including AutoCAD.
  • Experience with tools such as Flex Sim, Revit, Twinmotion, Microsoft Office, and Smartsheet.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Collaboration in multidisciplinary environments and eagerness to contribute to team success.
  • Minimal travel may be required to scope and evaluate buildings and vendor equipment.
Compensation

The estimated base annual salary range for this position is $66,578 to $76,565. Your base salary will be determined on a range of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications and experience. This position may additionally be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
