Occupational Therapist - Occupational Therapy - Per Diem

Position Summary:

The incumbent shall provide a full range of occupational therapy services including assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment. The incumbent shall also demonstrate accountability for program development and quality improvement.

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited four‑year bachelor degree program.
  • License: Current state licensure in the state of practice is required.
  • Certification: Current BLS certification mandated.
  • Communicates and demonstrates a professional image for patients, families, and coworkers.
  • Conducts initial assessments, selects appropriate assessment tools, and documents data in the medical record.
  • Develops individualized treatment plans with measurable short and long‑term goals related to functional deficits.
  • Evaluates patient response to treatment, revises goals, and updates the treatment plan as needed.
  • Documents the course of patient care, including progress notes and discharge summaries, according to policy and procedure.
  • Provides patient and family education on tasks and resources to support continued functional independence.
  • Participates in continuing education and professional development activities.
  • Adheres to policies and practices of applicable federal and state guidelines and professional organizations.
  • Meets established organizational productivity standards within a fiscally responsible manner.
