Position: Assistant Supervisor 2 - Residential

Assistant Supervisor - Level 2
Salary Range $20.00-$21.65/hr flsa (Non-Exempt) I. QUALIFICATIONS Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in health or human service field preferredAssociates degree in Human Services field requiredThree years’ experience working with special needs populationExperience with OPWDD and/or OMH programsSkills
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Good problem‑solving skills
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to observe and document behaviors and situations
- Familiar with computer programs (e.g., Word, Excel)
- The ability to climb stairs, bend, stoop, sit, stand, reach and lift items weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to legally operate a vehicle in NY State
II. RESPONSIBLE TO
Supervisor
III. MAJOR FUNCTIONS
Understand and follow all agency and program policies and proceduresComplete required reports and submit them in a timely mannerAssure proper documentation of incidents
Provide orientation to new staff and consumersMaintain case records in compliance with procedures and regulations>Assure case records are in compliance with all applicable standards and regulationsAttend required staff meetingsAssist with monitoring, evaluating and providing direction to program staffInform supervisor of all pertinent program issues on a regular basisParticipate in admission/discharge processAssure that all appropriate rehabilitative services are providedIntervene and provide appropriate crises interventionAssist and/or provide supervision for Representative Payee staffAssist in completing required monthly/quarterly reportsParticipate in and successfully complete all required staff training and development activitiesAssume duties of Supervisor in their absenceRepresent agency and program in the community and with other service providersRegular and substantial contact with individuals receiving servicesPerform other job-related activities as directed by supervisorIn compliance with all applicable government laws, rules, regulations and standards, and all Catholic Charities policies and procedures, the duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the above.
