Venture Forthe is one of WNY's largest and fastest growing Licensed Home Care agencies. Our team is growing, and we're looking to bring on an RN Trainer to instruct our PCA Training classes in our Southern Tier regions (Binghamton, Corning, Elmira, and Hornell)!

This position will support our four year NYS Department of Health Direct Caregiver Flexibility Grant, which allow us to provide equitable access to caregiver certification and strengthening the Southern Tier healthcare workforce.

• Teaching NYS Personal Care Aide (PCA) certification classes in the Southern Tier, Binghamton, Corning, Elmira, and Hornell, of NYS, with occasional travel to other areas.
• Assist in developing, updating and maintaining training material and curriculum for PCAs as needed.
• Assists in the agency’s continuing education/in-service program and field competency testing of all clinical staff.
• Conducting field competency testing for clinical staff in accordance with NYS Department of Health regulations.
• Potentially overseeing, coordinating, and directly supervising paraprofessional staff and private duty/shift nursing services.
• This position primary responsible is to teach and train PCA but when there is no classes the trainer will be expected to help with some types of home visits.
• Providing individualized remediation and tutoring support to trainees who require additional assistance.
• Conducting ongoing progress checks throughout training to identify learning gaps early.
• Delivering cultural competency education to support a diverse caregiver workforce.
• Administering and documenting Alternative Competency Demonstration (ACD) assessments in compliance with NYS DOH requirements.
• Collaborating with training, workforce, and community partners to ensure grant deliverables are met.

• Licensed and registered professional nurse (RN) in New York State.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school (diploma, bachelor’s, or master’s degree).
• Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience.
• At least one (1) year of home healthcare experience within an Article 36 or Article 40 agency, or equivalent out-of-state agency.
• Strong understanding of the scope of practice for both professional and paraprofessional healthcare providers.
• Valid Driver's License and access to private reliable transportation.
• Working knowledge of New York State Department of Health (DOH) regulations applicable to home care and PCA training programs.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to teach, coach, and engage learners of varying experience levels.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
• One (1) year of education or instructional experience (preferred).
