Adult Echo Sonographer Location

Vestal, NY

This is a 13-week contract position.

Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM; 1-hour lunch break, performing 4 outpatient echoes in the morning and 4 in the afternoon.

The Adult Echo Sonographer will ensure that Cardiology services rendered for the evaluation and treatment of patients are completed in a timely, accurate, and reliable manner. This includes providing services for inpatients and outpatients, staff, and community groups as needed.

• Perform cardiac ultrasound exams, including 2D, M-mode, Doppler color, TEE, and stress echo.
• Interpret exams for preliminary reports, identifying critically abnormal findings and alerting the physician.
• Clean and disinfect TEE probes in accordance with infection control standards.
• Record and report results of all procedures accurately.
• Respond to calls for "stat/emergency echos" as needed.
• Maintain accurate and appropriate records and abide by Service Delivery Standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI (RCS) certification required.
• BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross) required.
• High School Diploma or GED required;
  Associate's degree preferred.
