Position Overview



Position Overview

The Microsoft solutions architect proactively and holistically leads and supports EA activities that guide the development and management of the Microsoft portfolio of solutions following best practices. Solutions include projects and products, systems (including applications, technologies, processes, and information), shared infrastructure services and shared application services.

The solutions architect understands the concepts of business goals, objectives and business outcomes, business capabilities, value-streams and business processes and their importance in solution architecture.

The solutions architect provides the necessary leadership, analysis and design tasks related to support the development of technology solutions to ensure that solutions meet business needs and align with architectural governance and standards.

They create deliverables for managing the organization's portfolio including systems (applications, processes, information, and technology), shared infrastructure services, and shared application services and components to enable and drive targeted business outcomes.

$37.00 - $55.50 per hour, depending on experience

Education And Experience

Minimum Required

  • Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft 365 environments governance and management;
    Hands-on experience with Office 365 services such as Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and One Drive.
Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • A minimum of five years’ combined experience in at least two IT solution development disciplines; including technical or infrastructure architecture, network management, application development, middleware, database management or cloud development
License/Certification

Minimum

Required:

  • Obtain Microsoft Certified Azure Fundamentals or Microsoft 365 Fundamentals within 90 days of hire.
Preferred:

  • Microsoft Certified:
    Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
  • Microsoft 365 Certified:
    Administrator Expert (MS-102)
