Overview

Soccer Shots is ramping up its operation and we are looking to expand our team of instructors to accommodate growth. We operate in daycares, preschools, community centers, and more across Broome, Cortland, Chemung, Chenango, Tioga, and Tompkins Counties. We hire to create a positive, engaging environment for children and to deliver our curriculum with leadership, passion, and care.

Schedule and Locations

Sessions run Monday through Friday, with some indoor programs launching in the evenings and Saturday mornings. There is some flexibility in scheduling; once your schedule is set with us, it won’t change. You will be at the same locations at the same times each week and must be committed for the entire season. Each season lasts about 7–8 weeks (extended if there are weather cancellations).

We are hiring now to train and onboard for the next season.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and co-coach 40-minute Soccer Shots sessions according to the lesson plan, ensuring a safe and engaging environment.
  • Engage with children using positive affirmations and age-appropriate activities to promote participation and confidence.
  • Plan ahead, stay organized, and maintain order appropriate for the age group.
  • Be the face of Soccer Shots, committed to the program’s standards and customer experience.
  • Work with a team to deliver the curriculum and manage session flow at each location.
Qualifications
  • Safety-conscious with the safety of children as the top priority.
  • Caring and engaging with each child through positive interactions.
  • Organized and systematic, capable of following the lesson plan and maintaining routine.
  • Responsible and reliable, with a professional demeanor as a representative of Soccer Shots.
  • Energetic, able to create a fun and exciting atmosphere that encourages participation.
  • Pass a Child Abuse History Clearance and Background Check.
Compensation

Instructors start at $18 per session when co-coaching, and $20 per session once approved as lead coach, with potential increases up to $28 per session in returning seasons. Higher availability can lead to more sessions and greater earnings. Scheduling is aligned with the candidate’s stated availability.
