Binghamton University, a NCAA Division I institution and member of the America East Conference, is seeking an Assistant Sports Performance Coach. This position will serve as the primary sports performance coach for assigned athletic programs; responsible for program development, implementation, and coaching for those teams. This person will also assist the Head Coach Sports Performance in the general operation of the Sports Performance program.
Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and oversee sports performance programs for assigned teams.
- Provide coaching and instruction to student-athletes to improve strength, conditioning, and performance.
- Collaborate with the Head Coach Sports Performance on program strategy and day‑to‑day operations.
- Maintain compliant documentation and ensure adherence to NCAA rules and regulations.
- Assist in the acquisition and maintenance of necessary certifications (CPR/AED, First Aid).
- Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sports Performance, or a related field.
- Current NCSA/CSCS certification and/or CSCCa/SCCC certification.
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to NCAA rules and regulations.
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification or ability to obtain them within 30 days of employment.
- Master’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sports Performance, or a related field.
- At least one year of experience in a collegiate or professional strength and conditioning environment.
